~Vinyasa Flow Yoga~
A flowing series of asanas (postures) that combines cardiovascular, upper body strength and flexibility. Yoga asanas done in carefully balanced sequences in connection with the breath.
~Half Price Hatha Yoga~
What a bargain! $30 for 5 classes. A 1.25 hour long class designed for all levels. Great for students and those on a budget! Tuesday nights at 7:15pm. Taught at My Yoga Spirit in Ghent.
~Hot Yoga~
A series of 26-30 asanas done in a heated environment (usually about 105-110 degrees) to allow for maximum detoxification and greater flexibility. Classes are 1.5 hours. Taught at Hot Yoga of Virginia Beach.
~Integral Yoga~
As taught by Swami Satchidananda, "a flexible combination of specific methods to develop every aspect of the individual: physical, intellectual and spiritual. It is a scientific system which integrates the various branches of Yoga in order to bring about a complete and harmonious development of the individual."
~Thai Yoga Bodywork~
A unique and powerful massage therapy combining acupressure, gentle stretching and applied yoga. Thai Yoga therapy is based on the idea that there are energy channels running through the body. When these channels become blocked, the energy becomes inactive and the body loses its balance causing discomfort or illness to a person. Please email for rates.
